Is the Tracks Program an accredited degree?
The Tracks Program does not offer any accredited degrees or certificates. This allows each Track to be completed within six months and to be offered for free.
The Global Institute does not offer any accredited degrees or certificates, and the Tracks Program is no exception. Students who finish a Track will be issued a downloadable certificate from the Global Institute, but this is not an accredited certificate which counts for any graduate or undergraduate credit.
If the Tracks Program were to be accredited, it would need to be much more rigorous, longer, and could no longer be offered for free. We have opted to keep this as a nonformal learning program in order to provide valuable training and resources to the global church for free.
However, Tracks students are welcome to apply for admission to any of the accredited degree or certificate programs at DTS. You can learn more about this process by visiting https://www.dts.edu/start-your-journey/admissions or by emailing admissions@dts.edu. Tracks graduates who are accepted into DTS degree programs may receive certain benefits, such as a few elective credit hours and a partial scholarship.
Note that there are plans to pursue at least micro-credentialing for the Tracks Program in the future, although this is not the same thing as academic accreditation.
