What does DTS believe?
Dallas Theological Seminary (DTS) believes the seven essential Christian beliefs held by Christians throughout history and around the world, and also affirms distinctive doctrines—including its dispensational and premillennial commitments—detailed in its full doctrinal statement. Together, these define DTS's theological identity. DTS upholds these seven essentials:
- the Trinity
- the full deity and humanity of Christ
- the spiritual lostness of the human race
- the substitutionary atonement and bodily resurrection of Christ
- salvation by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone
- the physical return of Christ
- the authority and inerrancy of Scripture.
Where can I find the beliefs that distinguish DTS from other seminaries?
The beliefs that distinguish DTS from other seminaries—including its positions on dispensationalism, ecclesiology, and eschatology—are detailed in the DTS Doctrinal Statement.
